Well finally after being gone since the 19th we made it home! It was very bittersweet to come home after having so much family time and being surrounded by Christmas decorations to our house with just the three of us and no Christmas. As for Christmas we had an amazing one. It was the first time Carder actually understood opening presents and it was a blast to watch! Today we did Christmas with my family and we got the joy of having my nieces over for Christmas who we haven't seen in at least 3 years! It was so great to have them there and it was like they had never missed a day with us. They got along great with Carder and Joanna and even Joanna enjoyed having them around.
As for present I would have to say Chet and I scored this year. We had told everyone that we didn't want anything so I guess they decided to just figure it out for themselves. Well we came home with a Wii, a Wii Fit Plus, games, clothes, candles, Bones the tv show on dvd, luggage, a painting, and a meat bundle that will last us most of the year with meats ranging from bacon and sausage to steaks and roasts.
Carder as always scored also he got enough clothes to cloth him for at least 6 months straight without having to wash anything, a John Deere gator, a tractor, a box full of books, movies, a puppy named scout, and a bunch of other awesome toys.
But even with all of this I can say we had an awesome Christmas just because we got to spend some time with some awesome people and eat some amazing food while remembering the true meaning of Christmas!
